The Judicial Council of California has initiated a comprehensive project to develop Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) for each of the 58 Superior Courts, Appellate Courts, and the Supreme Court to ensure Continuity of Government (COG).

The Judicial Council selected BOLDplanning.com, a Continuity of Operations Planning system to assist in the creation of its continuity plans and ongoing plan development. BOLDplanning.com is a web-based planning tool, designed to guide government agencies through the process of developing Continuity of Operations Plans. The BOLDplanning.com system walks planners through each step of the planning process and helps develop a COOP that outlines a clear, concise understanding of roles and responsibilities needed to ensure an organization’s transition during times of change in normal operation.

For this project, the BOLDplanning.com system was modified to meet the specific needs of the Judicial Council. It is accessed via the internet at COOP.Courts.CA.gov for this state-wide planning initiative.
